We are Dieter Mahlein and Marcela Leal. Our
company ShredAir, Inc. is dedicated to radio-controlled (RC)
flight.
We started ShredAir in Oregon, USA, as suppliers of premium
RC products mostly imported from Europe. Our specialty
have been slope and electric gliders. ShredAir
has become an international company, supplying products, service, and support
to RC pilots just about anywhere. We have organized and participated in events
in the US, Germany, and Colombia. We also provide aerial photography services
Starting 2009, we will be located in Medellín, Colombia,
promoting RC flying in the Andes through fun fly gatherings,
slope soaring and electric flying events, and complete tourism
packages for national and international pilots and their families. We
will continue offering the aerial photography services and
our famous "opinionated free advice" regarding performance
aircraft.

Our aircraft are electric-powered gliders designed specifically to carry
a high-quality digital camera. This camera is operated from
the same transmitter as the airplane.
We take photos while the aircraft
is gliding or soaring; power
is used only to get the glider to the desired altitude and
into the appropriate airspace. This technique and very quiet
operation allow us to "loiter" over
a subject for extended time periods and to take photos from
all angles and all desired altitudes.
Photographs are provided
on computer media (direct down-load, CD, DVD), and/or as
high-quality prints. Further, we offer
computerized photo editing, if desired. |
After nine years in business, we are no longer offering

We are now preparing to move our operation
to South America. There, ShredAir's objective is to arrange
comfortable, safe, enjoyable, authentic, informative, and
relaxing vacation packages in the Colombian Andes around
Medellín. These
vacation packages will be available all year, particularly
also in the "winter." While we will
focus on RC flying, we will also include activities for the
entire family.
